Our Story
That question has started countless dinner-table conversations in our house. “I want to talk about taking care of the dogs.” “I want to talk about selling the puppies.” They're always lively, and always enriching.
It began in 2023, when we brought home two golden puppies: Maverick, chosen for his gentle, well-proportioned lines, and Gretta, from painstakingly selective breeders and a champion bloodline. Since then they've been steadfast companions to our five children, (mostly) patient guardians of our chickens, and the occasional eater of a lost glove.
Their dispositions differ, but they're equally gentle. That's exactly what we hope to pass on.
The Parents
Purebred, AKC-registered Golden Retrievers with deep red coats. Vaccinated, vet-checked minutes from home, and living full, active lives on our two acres.
A sponge for affection, Maverick loves to be petted and played with, and doesn't hide his jealous streak whenever Gretta is the one getting attention.
“Gretta Girl” is more laid back, but every bit as curious and loving. She'll lie calmly while the kids pull her tail, smother her with hugs, or try to ride her like a little horse.
New Litter
Gretta gave birth on October 19, 2026 to ten beautiful puppies, four females and six males. Reservations are now open: a $300 deposit secures your pick, and they'll be ready to go to their new homes in early December.

About Us
Five children, a flock of chickens, and our dogs. There's always much going on and much to do. Both my wife and I grew up around dogs; her parents trained and showed them professionally. We breed to teach our children responsibility and care for animals, and so others can experience the joy of dog ownership.
Why “Roch Breeding?”
We're named after St. Roch, the patron saint of dogs. While caring for plague victims, he fell ill himself and withdrew to die, only for a nobleman's hunting dog to find him and bring him scraps of bread until the nobleman followed and saved him.
“This story of a dog as an instrument of God's mercy epitomizes the spirit of companionship, protection, and care that dogs, at their best, can demonstrate. We want to enkindle that spirit for others to experience.”
From an Earlier Litter
These are from an earlier litter of ours, at this same age, so you can get a feel for what the October litter will look like as they grow. New photos coming soon!
